I absolutely love masala chai, and over the years I’ve tried so many different ways of making it at home. I’ve always loved that warm, comforting flavour of a good Indian masala tea, so I kept experimenting with different spices to get that perfect cup.
Sometimes I’d add too much ginger or cardamom, and sometimes even too much black pepper, making the chai extra spicy. Somehow, the flavours just never seemed to come together perfectly.
So I thought, why not try a masala tea blend where the spices are already blended in? It sounded like the easiest solution.
I’ve tried so many masala chai blends, but honestly, when brewed, most of them tasted more like regular chai than masala chai. There was hardly any flavour or aroma of the spices. And whenever I tried brewing them longer to bring out more of that spiced tea flavour, the tea would become too strong and often turn bitter.
That’s when I discovered Octavius Indian Masala Chai, and honestly, this solved my problem.
The tea and authentic Indian spices are already blended in the right proportion, so I don’t have to measure or add anything separately. And what I really noticed is the aroma—the natural spices actually come through beautifully.
It has 25% exotic Indian spices, so you get that lovely, prominent masala flavour without having to make the tea overly strong.
I simply add it to the tea, let it simmer, add milk and sweetness according to my taste, and let it brew beautifully. Then I just strain it.
And that’s it—a beautiful, aromatic cup of masala chai every time.
After trying so many ways to get that perfect homemade-style masala chai, I think I’ve finally found my easy, everyday solution with Octavius.
If you love a strong, flavourful and aromatic chai, this is definitely one to try.
