The study found out that there was 20% lower risk of a heart attack and a 22% lower risk for death because of a cardiovascular disease for those who consumed comparatively more tea than those who consumed less than 3 cups of tea in a week.
Even though these findings might not directly point to tea as the only factor behind heart health, it reinforces the fact that black tea as well as green tea have flavonoids that dampen inflammation, which is a contributor for heart diseases.
